Boom Cafe and Memorial

I was on an assignment with a 'colorful' person whose name consists of 3 flowers. She at one time worked at the Boom Cafe, also known as the Boom Boom or Boom Room..... a local hangout.... mainly gay. She took me to an area behind the Boom at the edge of the cliff overlooking the beach. This area is set aside as a memorial to people who had died of AIDS. I have lived in Laguna over 20 years and I never realized this place existed.

A Frenchman maintains this memorial which contains various small statues, rocks (mainly in the shape of hearts) and flowers.
