Final Farewell

I really did not have a clue as to what a true giant of a man Tom Wall was. Small in physical height, yet a true giant. His life reads like a novel. He might not have gone out with real guns blazing as he had dreamed of.... but he actually went out in a true blaze of glory for all of those he touched.

The Head man

Soooo...... back at the Sawdust... I looked down the aisle and there was this head sticking up above the crowd.

With that head of hair and beard.... I thought I was having a religious experience...

And then I realized it was probably the second hand smoke from those hippie guys a few pics down.

Mirror Mirror

Yep! I am still posting my Sawdust pics.

Is Janet reading the sign or looking at herself?... or looking at me? or wondering where the side door is.... or where the hippies are?

I know where the hippies are. They are beneath this picture smoking a dubie!

Still Hippies after all of these Years

Last night was the private opening for the Sawdust Festival. The festival is one of those time vessels where not much seems to change. I remember first going to the festival back in the 60's when admission was a quarter. I think these guys were there then!

Subliminal Message

I am always looking around for those special messages that have that deeper meaning.

I found one!

Alcoa or Reynolds?

I went to my grandsons graduation the other day at UC Santa Barbara. Nice setting... by a lagoon. Hotter than heck....

Anyways....... I noticed this guy in a yellow robe.... I think he is the son of someone that goes to the Coffee Nazi.

The aluminum guy can look at this and tell me. Is this Alcoa or Reynolds?

Fathers Day

This year my kids and Grandkids came over to spend the day before Fathers Day since we had to go up north for the graduation of our oldest grandchild.

Naya made me this cool card for me. The only problem is, you have to stand on your head to read it.

Pageant of Master Part 3

I am still amazed at how cool these actors are and how well made up.... even standing close up, they seem like they are actually porcelain.

Do you think they make the entire body that way? Then you would have to decide if you wanted it permanently erect or not.

Tough decision!

Fire Equipment

One thing about Laguna Beach. Nothing is too good for the Fire dept.

Here is the Chiefs vehicle that insures he will be the first to the fire.

Rumor has it.... the police Department is running suped up vettes! (Also Red)

More Pageant of Masters

Part of the evening was spent watching the performers getting makeup.

At first I thought they were putting makeup on a person, using the dummy head as a basis for the layout.

Turned out they were both dummies!

I am so confused....

Pageant of Masters

Last night was media night for the Pageant of the Masters. I always like seeing how they do this. This gal was made up before my very eyes and then climbed a ladder and got into position at the top of this poster about a bottle of Champagne.

Most cool! She does not look real!

If you are ever in laguna Beach.... try to catch this. It runs thru the summer.

New LBMC

In case you do not know what LBMC stands for.... it stands for Laguna Beach Municipal Code.

This is how the city makes its money. Their top money collector is Raphael Flores who gets people for Jay Walking... tossing cigarette butts on the ground... etc.

Here he is seen checking the latest LBMC that just went into effect. All women must be cleanly shaven so that no hairs protrude from their bathing suits.

Notice how Raphael takes that subtle check!

My hero!

Stickin Around

Janet came running in..... 'something strange is on our outside table'...

It was Mr. Sitckman himself. Aside from the fact that he pooped on the table top, I was happy to see him.

Usually he is hard to spot since he is usually hanging around in the bushes.

Most cool!
