Newstand to Close

Looks like the burger place needs the space to add some more booths.

The newstand.... a long time icon of Laguna Beach will be closing at the end of this month.

I guess we will have to get our magazines at JP's.

Tall Ships - Dana Point

Around this time each year.... Dana point (more specifically, the Ocean Institue) puts on a Festival of the Tall Ships. It is quite a spectacle and something to put on your list to check out.

Here the 6 ships are in port getting ready to go out for a little contest of canon shooting at each other.

This is a real blast!

9/11 5 Years Later

Five years ago on 9/11 some terrible events ocurred..... and some great events took place.

Asia was born at the same time the towers crumbled.

I am thankful to be blessed with such a wonderful Grand Daughter!

Pirates and Photoman

I thought I would take a relaxing sail around Dana Point this weekend. I guess one of these pirate ships noticed 'photoman' and tried to sink us.

Bummer!

Can't even get a little relax time!

Loosing your Load!

I guess no one told this driver, you need to slooooow it down when driving a cement truck around a sharp turn.

Ferrari Hangout

I was heading home tonight and was passing by the Crystal cove shopping lot when I spotted this Carrera..... I looked to see if the driver was wearing a black shirt....

Nope. .... But the chic next to him was wearing a black something.... so I guess he knew the rules for getting a parking spot.

Color Coding at the mall.

So it turns out that in addition to only parking in the areas designated for your auto type, you have to match your shirt (or blouse) to that of your car.

I am sure glad I have lots of black tee shirts!

Shopping at Crystal Cove

We went shopping at the Crystal Cove center bewteen Laguna Beach and Newport Beach.... what I refer to as the DMZ for the Gold Coast. I sent Janet out to look for a parking place. It seemed that you parked in the area by the make of your car.

By the looks of things.... that would have me parking in Garden grove.

Oh well.... I guess it's back to Target.
